I can't keep up

I wish I could keep up with this blog. Maybe if I encourage myself to write weekly? In current notes, Zachary is 3. My mom is currently in the hospital for bronchitis. The husband just started a new job and I'm still working at JCPportraits.

Sleigh bells ring..

     But WAIT! It's not even thanksgiving? That's okay, we've had our Christmas tree up since the day after Halloween. We never even decorated for Halloween this year and we weren't going to be decorating for thanksgiving because no one comes to our house, so why not?

   Halloween is typically my favorite holiday but after having Zachary I've found a new love for Christmas, it's all so much more exciting now. Today Zachary and I did practice shoots for Christmas photos, I'm hoping to do our family photos for Christmas cards this weekend but here are some of just Zachary (:

We had a rough start, using my flash indoors is the one thing I'm the worst at. I am one of those people who are always going on and on about how much I hate flashes, but I'm trying to learn how to properly do so. Even though my favorite pictures of today ended up happening without the flash :P Zachary also did not want to sit still for me at all.. and then I saw our santa costume which is actually for our dog but he's too fat to fit it. I stuck it on our cat and BAM! instant happiness (: I know that the pictures aren't amazing quality. But I'm still learning, every day, learning..

St.Louis weather is crazy

  It was so beautiful out yesterday. It rained off and on. But it got up to 77! 77, in NOVEMBER. There were several nights in the past week where it was in the 20's. It's crazy so of course Zachary and I went outside and enjoyed ourselves. Fall is so beautiful.

I always fall behind

    I really need to learn how to keep up with a blog. Maybe I'll set myself a reminder for every couple of days. I have done a handful of photo shoots since my last post. I'll show you some and then hopefully, after this I can keep up with this as weekly, at least, thing.

 After Lillyana, we welcome another baby into the family, meet Kaidyn:
   

   I have so far had two photo shoots with Kaidyn and both have been successful :) She is such a beautiful little girl.

  Right before Kaidyn was born we found out that my sister was pregnant. She is due January 13th, 2014 with a little boy named Dominic <3 Her maternity shoot came out amazing!

  I've done a couple more photo shoots since but not much at all. I'm wishing business would pick up but I'm still learning how everything works. Next year I get to do my first official wedding and I am so incredibly excited. I'm determined to do amazing and am spending my days practicing and learning.

It's a process, right?

    This past week I had my first newborn photo shoot with Lillyana! :D We had a ton of fun but I didn't get all the pictures I wanted. I'm going back next week to try again! I'm use to just letting kids do what they want to do when I take their pictures, with a newborn you just can't do that. So I'm studying posing and what not! Hopefully next week's turns out better!
   I also have a photo shoot planned for Zachary once we have a day nice enough where he can run around without a shirt on, I am so excited!

Welcome to the family!

    This past Wednesday my cousin's fiancee', Amber gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Lillyana! I got to go to the hospital and meet her yesterday. She is so so beautiful and so sweet! She slept the entire time my mom and I were there. I am so excited for them. Next week some time I get to go do a newborn shoot for Lillyana! I am so excited!

     

Maternity

      Yesterday I had my first maternity shoot! Well, first two maternity shoots :P I think overall it went great. There are some pictures I wish turned out better, but there are also some that I am absolutely in love with! We also had a ton of fun during the shoot. And I cannot wait for their little girls to be here so that I can do their newborn shoots!
