I know I'm a little late but here's my Easter post! Saturday (I know Easter was Sunday), but Saturday we took Zachary to a local park for his first Easter egg hunt, he did so great. He would pick up an egg, put it into his bag and then clap for himself. After a couple he started doing it two at a time. Unfortunately he was only allowed 10 eggs.
After that we went to my moms to help dye Easter eggs. When we walked into the house my mom was holding a baby duck! My parents picked up a couple baby ducks and baby chickens at Soulard, they're going to raise them for their eggs. They are so so cute and Zachary loved them!
Eventually we started dying Easter eggs. It ended up only being my mom, my sister, my nephew and I. Ben took Zachary home because he was being crabby and needed a nap. I hadn't dyed eggs in a long time, it was pretty fun. Also while there I decided to make cupcakes, I also helped my mom cut up fruit for her edible arrangement that she made for Easter.
Now, Easter day! We spent the morning at my mother-in-laws, Zachary was so crabby the entire time! He's started a new tantrum where he screams and throws himself on the floor and just rolls around screaming. And this went on all Easter day. At 2 we headed to Ben's aunt Lisa's, we were the first to arrive. Zachary was sleeping when we arrived and he slept for about an hour once we got there, he needed the nap so badly. I was hoping he was going to be happier after a nap, no such luck! He played with the kids a tiny bit but he wouldn't let anyone hold him and he didn't really want anyone talking to him either. After that we went to my mom's, he was really crabby when we first got there, too. He eventually calmed down, he played with the kids and went on his Easter egg hunt. We have so much candy now it's ridiculous D:
